Hanekawa encounters a mysterious tiger oddity that seems to have a connection to her past and her feelings for Koyomi Araragi. She also meets the oddity specialist Meme Oshino's niece, Izuko Gaen, who reveals some secrets about Hanekawa's nature and the oddities in town.
Kabukimonogatari: The second arc of the season, and the first one told from Araragi's perspective. It takes place in August, after Nekomonogatari (White). Araragi and Shinobu Oshino use her vampire abilities to travel back in time to save Mayoi Hachikuji from being killed by a car accident. However, they end up in a parallel world where everything has changed drastically due to their actions. They must find a way to return to their original timeline before it's too late.
Otorimonogatari: The third arc of the season, and the second one told from Araragi's perspective. It takes place in October, during Nisemonogatari. Nadeko Sengoku, Araragi's junior and former victim of a snake curse, becomes possessed by a snake god named Kuchinawa, who promises to grant her wish if she collects his scattered body parts. Nadeko's wish is to be with Araragi, who she has a crush on, but she also harbors a deep resentment towards him and his girlfriend Hitagi Senjougahara.
Onimonogatari: The fourth arc of the season, and the third one told from Araragi's perspective. It takes place in October, during Otorimonogatari. Araragi and Shinobu encounter a mysterious darkness that pursues them relentlessly. They are saved by Mayoi Hachikuji, who reveals that she is actually a ghost who has overstayed her time in the world. She decides to leave with the help of Yotsugi Ononoki, a doll-like oddity specialist. Araragi and Shinobu learn more about their past and their bond as master and servant.
Koimonogatari: The fifth and final arc of the season, and the only one told from the perspective of Hitagi Senjougahara. It takes place in January, after Onimonogatari. Senjougahara contacts Deishuu Kaiki, a conman and former enemy of Araragi and his friends, and asks him to deceive Nadeko Sengoku, who has become a snake god and plans to kill Araragi on his graduation day. Kaiki agrees to take on the job for a hefty fee, but he also has his own reasons for doing so.
Each arc of Monogatari Series Second Season offers a different perspective on the characters and their relationships, as well as reveals new information about the world of oddities and its rules.
